Franklin Huber is Edgewood's resident farmer. He initially lived on his own farm but upon marrying Leslie Baker, he moved in with Leslie and set up a garden at his new home. Franklin and his new wife immediately longed for a child, with her already being in her 30s and her fertility declining. After a couple years of trying, Leslie finally conceived! Franklin was over the moon and was ready to become a dad. However, in a cruel twist of fate, Leslie lost baby Huber in her last trimester. This naturally devastated Franklin. He was there for his wife throughout this and sought fertility treatment with her from Dr. Hickey. Franklin during this trying time, felt that he had to keep his own feelings in check in order to be a rock for Leslie. This led to Franklin having a mid-life crisis of sorts and spiraling out of control. He started to think of other women romantically, particularly Erin Driscoll. While Franklin ultimately stayed faithful to Leslie, he did certainly think about straying and became very enamoured with Erin while she was pregnant, imaging what it would be like to actually be able to have a biological child of his own.
